New online music store is music to our earsFollowing the launch of the virtual South African Nokia Music Store, music.nokia.co.za, South African's now have access to hundreds of thousands of local and international tracks by a wide range of artists from Beyoncé to Mafikizolo.
“South Africans have waited a long time for a local store offering both international hits and local favourites,” said Jake Larsen, Nokia's head of music for Middle East and Africa.
Joyce Schulten, SAMRO’s Executive General Manager: Mechanical Rights, commented: “At SAMRO, we are excited about Nokia’s Music Store initiative, as it not only provides legal easy access to the music we all love but, through our licensing agreement with Nokia, our members are assured of receiving much-needed mechanical rights royalties for any of their works that may be downloaded.”
Music lovers can access the store via any desktop computer or directly from optimised Nokia devices. Using a variety of payment options such as credit cards or prepaid vouchers, a single track can be bought for R10, while an entire album costs R100.

Hi
Good questions!
I contacted Nokia, and they informed me that the music publisher needs to contact Nokia directly in order to get music into the Nokia Music Store.
The Nokia Careline is 08611-66-542.

Drop of advice here, I’ve used music.nokia and tried to communicate with Nokia customer care, it is a nightmare. I can forward my complain to their MD to anyone interested as there is too little space here.
