SA Embassy in Belgium to pay tribute to African diva’s legacy Miriam MakebaLegendary, award winning South African singer, the late Miriam Makeba’s legacy is still being celebrated after her passing. A special tribute concert is being hosted by the South African Embassy in Belgium in conjunction with the Pan African Women's League and Voice of Afro-Belgians Embassy.
A dynamic mix of exceptional African performers from Uganda, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, South Africa and Belgium are on the bill and set to take Brussels by storm.
To coincide with this performance, the embassy will also host a symposium on the role and contribution to the social conscience by African s in the Diaspora.
One of the highlights of this symposium will be the range of African cuisine that will be served including dishes from Congo, Nigeria, Rwanda, Uganda and South Africa.
