MEDIASAMRO - GM: Strategy and Business Development


Yavi Madurai joined the Southern African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO), as General Manager of Marketing in January 2007.

She has held various positions within the banking industry, namely her involvement within FNB`s Retail Division, Nedbank`s Retail, Corporate, Business Banking & Mass Market Divisions, as well as Standard Bank’s Corporate Division.

Throughout her 15 years she spent within the banking industry, Yavi`s determination and hard work, allowed for her progression from the most junior level within the industry to working her way up into Business Modeling and Strategy.

Yavi holds a Bcom degree in Marketing and Business Management from Oxford Brooks University and is in the process of completing her MBA.

Her core responsibilities as General Manager of Marketing at SAMRO includes overseeing the organisation`s marketing, branding, communications, customer service and managing corporate social responsibility projects.
