NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Forty-Sixth Annual General Meeting of members of SAMRO will be held on Friday, 23 November 2007, at 14h30, at SAMRO House, Ground Floor, 73 Juta Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg, for the following purposes:-
1. To resolve that the Report of the Independent Auditors be taken as read.
2. To receive and consider the annual financial statements and group annual financial statements of SAMRO and its subsidiaries for the year ended 30 June 2007 including the Directors’ Report and the Report of the Independent Auditors.
3. To consider, and if deemed fit, to pass the proposed Resolution, the details of which are set out in the Annexure hereof, as a Special Resolution in the manner required by the Companies Act, 1973, as amended.
4. To fix the remuneration of SAMRO’s independent auditors, Messrs Ernst & Young, for the past year’s audit and to re-appoint them as auditors until the next Annual General Meeting.
5. To transact such other business as may be transacted at an Annual General Meeting.
A member entitled to attend and vote at the meeting is entitled to appoint a proxy to attend and speak, and to vote in his/her stead. A proxy need not also be a member of SAMRO. Proxy forms must be forwarded to reach the registered office of the Organisation not less than twenty-four (24) hours before the time for holding the meeting, or adjourned meeting.

Before the AGM, at 09:30, there will be a Seminar, in which a Guest Speaker would deliver a Keynote address. The Seminar will also involve all the SAMRO General Managers, who would take turns giving presentations on their divisional activities during the year under review.
We urge you to come and observe first-hand, the governance of the organisation, as well as witness the dialogue informing the decisions to tackle opportunities of future trends in music exploitation. Also appreciate the motivation and commitment of the Board directors.

NB: There will be simultaneous translation of all proceedings from the morning to afternoon into Sesotho and iSizulu.
