Notice of AGM (Annual General Meeting)
The 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of SAMRO shall take place on Friday, 24 November 2006. The AGM will be preceded by a Seminar. The Seminar-- to feature a guest speaker from Cisac in France-- entails amongst others, presentations by SAMRO General Managers on their activities during the year under review.
This is a unique opportunity to observe the governance of the organisation first-hand, appreciate the motivations and commitment of Board directors, and witness the dialogue informing the decisions that affect all members. It also represents an example of the channels created lately to facilitate greater member and public feedback. Accordingly, all SAMRO members are strongly encouraged to attend this AGM.
Moreover, SAMRO seeks to tackle opportunities of future trends in music exploitation with a view to 2010.
The activities are scheduled to run from 09:00 in the morning through to 16:00 in the afternoon.
Business
- 09:00 to 13:00 - a Seminar in which there will be guest speaker addressing music exploitation trends as we head for 2010.
Then each of the General Managers heading the Divisions at SAMRO will make a presentation on their Divisional activities. That will be followed by a Q & A session for the panel of senior Executives at SAMRO.

- 14:00 - formal AGM starts
NB: There will be simultaneous translation of all proceedings from the morning to afternoon into Sesotho and iSizulu.
