Moshito does idiski!

Music fans of all stripes are in for a real treat with the just announced ‘Moshito Does iDiski!’ programme of live music shows throughout Gauteng.

Moshito Music Conference and Exhibition, in partnership with artists, musicians, DJs, music venues and operators, restaurants, the Newtown Improvement District and Gauteng Provincial Government, has assembled a collection of music showcases and exhibitions that deliver something for everyone – be it Gauteng residents or visitors to the province.

From hip-hop to jazz, from reggae to traditional music, from house music to pop, all the genres that make Gauteng the thriving music industry heartland that it is will be on show.  And from Newtown to Soweto, from Mabopane to Hatfield and Melville, from the east end of Jozi and back to Newtown, up to 40 gigs across 15 venues are set to take place from 11 June to 8 July 2010.

‘Moshito Does iDiski!’ kicks off with live music in Newtown Park, 12.30pm – 3.30pm every Friday, for four Fridays, beginning Friday 11th June. Covering everything from rock to maskandi, traditional, ancient, contemporary, hip hop, classical and spoken word, it’s the chance for unrecorded artists to shine (For more information call Lungi 011 838 9145).
