Notice Of Broadcast Distribution

Please be advised that the broadcast distribution for the SABC will commence running today and barring any unforeseen problems that arise, we anticipate that payments will be credited to members’ accounts within the next few weeks. The reason for the delay in this distribution has been that performance return files received from the SABC have had to be returned to the SABC several times, because of incomplete information being supplied to us.

It is important to note that as our members’ best interest is at the core of what we do, SAMRO would not do a distribution based on the incomplete information that has repeatedly been provided by the SABC as this would result in royalties being allocated incorrectly. SAMRO’s position is and has always been to ensure that correct and complete information is provided by the broadcaster to ensure that the distribution is equitable and fair to all our members.
