Why This Event

As South African music continues to gain momentum globally, there is a growing need for DJs, producers, promoters and event organisers to better understand music licensing and their legal responsibilities. A stronger understanding of licensing, copyright, royalties and rights management is essential to ensuring compliance, protecting creators' rights and supporting a sustainable music industry.

SAMRO is hosting this industry engagement event to place music licensing at the forefront of industry conversations, while equipping DJs, producers, festival promoters and event organisers with practical knowledge on licensing requirements, royalties, membership, copyright, legal compliance and industry best practices.
