The vacancy exists within the Office of the COO in the Operations Division and reports directly to the COO.
The purpose of the role is to lead the organisation’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy and AI-driven supervisory solutions, transforming how regulatory insights are generated, risks are detected and supervised, and how perational efficiency is achieved through intelligent automation. The role will also lead the design and implementation of AI solutions that are not only scalable and performant, but also auditable, explainable, and ethically grounded.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has successfully completed Matric and has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field together with minimum of 5 years of experience in the technology domain. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading AI initiatives at scale ideally gained at working within the financial services industry, particularly in technology innovation, digital transformation, advanced analytics or related areas, will be highly advantageous.
