The above vacancy exists within Marketing, Communications and CSI department and reports to the Marketing & Communications Manager. The purpose of the position is to plan, support, coordinate and activate all marketing and events duties and responsibilities and or expectation within the marketing department on behalf of the organisation.The ideal candidate will be someone who has successfully completed Grade 12 and has a Degree or Diploma in Marketing or related field with at least 2 to 3 years relevant experience in the Marketing and Communications environment.
Key Performance areas:
● Plan, develop, coordinate and administrate marketing activations
● Plan, develop, coordinate and administrate events activations, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
● Coordinate and administrate sponsorship initiatives in line with organisational objectives
● Create, capture and coordinate content (written, visual and digital) from sponsored events, activations and marketing initiatives for use across internal and external communication platforms
● Work in partnership with the PR & Communications Specialist to ensure events, sponsorships and marketing initiatives are translated into effective PR, media, digital and social content
● Support the sponsorship, CSI, marketing and events strategy to maximise PR, communication and branding opportunities for SAMRO
● Coordinate and manage promotional collateral, including briefing, production and distribution
● Support post-event reporting, including content collation, insights and impact measurement
Minimum requirements:
● Diploma or Degree in Marketing
● 2 to 3 years relevant experience in marketing and communications
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Project management skills
● Customer relationship management skills
