The ideal candidate will be someone who has successfully completed an LLB degree, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience as well as minimum 3 years of music industry experience.
Key Performance areas:
- External Collections Management
- Copyright Infringement Action andLitigation
- Contract Negotiation, Vetting,Drafting and Management
- Legal Opinions, Advice and Queries
- Legal Risk Management and Compliance
- Legislative Advocacy and Lobbying
Minimum requirements:
- Relevant legal qualification – LLB degree.
- A postgraduate qualification such as LLM would be advantageous.
- A minimum of 7 years’ relevantexperience.
- 3 years music industry experience.
- 1 year compliance/ risk managementexperience would be advantageous.
- Ability to manage stakeholders(attorneys, legal consultants, service providers etc.).
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
- Ability to oversee and manage legal projects.
- Excellent computer skills (including word processing and spreadsheet packages).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of copyright law is preferable.
- Experience with employment law matters is preferable.
